Ever since Taylor Lautner hit the gym and exposed his chi chis religiously in the last Twatlight film, he has become the most sought-after actor in young Hollywood. He had quite a few films on his plate including a drama wit Tom Cruise, a thriller named 'Abduction,' and the action film 'Max Steel.' According to Vulture Lautner has dropped out of Mattel's Max Steel so that he can concentrate on Hasbro's Stretch Armstrong instead.
He had originally been signed to do both projects, but according to the site, "in the weeks after signing on to play 'Steel,' Lautner became increasingly convinced that Hasbro was playing its hand better than Mattel. Thanks to WME, Hasbro was moving with far greater speed through Hollywood's development maze than Mattel, not only setting up projects, but quickly moving them forward."
Rob Letterman (Monsters vs. Aliens, upcoming Gulliver's Travels) is in talks with Universal about directing Stretch Armstrong to be released in 2012.
Personally, I don't see Stretch Armstrong working as a film I would want to spend two hours seeing. I honestly think Max Steel would have been a much better vehicle for him. What taylor needs to do is take some acting classes and get better as an actor instead of doing stupid films like this. He may be hot now and making all this money, but he needs to be a little more like Zac Efron and choose his roles wisely.
