A few weeks ago, I blogged about Robyn releasing three albums worth of material this year. Well the Swedish singer has cleared up the reports and says she will release one new album, but will be divided into three parts and released throughout the year. The first album is due in June. Here is what she had to say via Stereogum:
“I think this splitting a full album up into different releases is, in a way, how people listen to music as well. It’s more about songs now,” she says. “But for me this is not an EP or a lesser version of an album. It’s an album, but it’s maybe not the normal length, so I can go back to the studio again and release these songs while they’re actually fresh, and go back to the studio and work on more stuff while touring.”
The following songs you are about to hear is the Röyksopp produced “None of Dem” and the Klas Åhlund produced “Don’t Fucking Tell Me What to Do” as well as two other tracks.
