ONE LIFE TO LIVE GAY ROMANCE COMES TO AN END

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

While I have enjoyed the storyline between One Life to Live's gay power couple, I am sad to report that ABC is abandoning the Kish romance, saying the reason is because there has been a decline in OLTL's ratings. How about people are over the same tired storylines that soaps keep recycling to no end. Ever since OLTL decided to beautifully present a gay love story between actors Scott Evans and Brett, I have been praising and blogging about this show, giving kudos to ABC for taking on such a brave subject in daytime TV. I actually thought with this new hot romance going on, it would bring more attention to the show, especially to gays who don't necessarily watch soaps. So sad to hear that when all else fails, ABC feels the need to blame it on the gays. I think it's about time we get our own gay soap opera instead of waiting for someone else to include gay storylines on soaps that promote extramarital affairs, incest, and storylines hijacked from old episodes of the Sopranos.
