Twilight's Kellan Lutz may not have gotten the role of Conan like he wanted (that role went to Jason Momoa), but now he will play Poseidon in War of the Gods. The film is being directed by visual director Tarsem Singh (The Cell):
"Lutz joins Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke and Freida Pinto in the growing cast, which is expected to assemble next month for the start of production. The story follows young Greek warrior Theseus (Cavill) as he leads his fellow soldiers in a... well... a war of the gods, at the bidding of King Hyperion (Rourke). The Theseus of Greek myth is the founder of Athens and son of Poseidon, though it's not known how closely "War" will follow established stories. Pinto will play Phaedra, Theseus' second wife."
Can't wait to see this. While all those other Twathards fight over Pattinson and Lautner, I'll take Lutz on two slabs of wheat bread and a side of mash potatoes and gravy to go please.
