IS JAMIE FOXX WRITING THE SCRIPT FOR LAVERNE & SHIRLEY MOVIE???

I have been in denial as far as confirming if this is true or not, but the rumors regarding the Laverne & Shirley remake have been getting a bit stranger.

First there were reports that Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel will play the leads in the Garry Marshall helmed remake of the '70s sitcom, Laverne and Shirley, and now there's word that Jamie Foxx is set to write the script!

In the words of Whoopi Goldbreg, 'what the hell'???

Here is what Marshall says:

"Jamie and I are trying to do it. He's writing it. It's a whole different modern take on how they came up on the streets during difficult times. Laverne would be this very tough girl with a big 'L' tattooed on her arm. Jennifer Garner would play Laverne and Jessica Biel would play Shirley."

First of all, casting that she hulk named Jessica Biel in a comedy is blasphemy. if you call what she did in Valentines Day comedy, you need your head examined. i like Jennifer Garner, but I prefer her in action roles instead of Hollywood trying to make her over as the next Sandra Bullock. Laverne & Shirley was before my time, but I did watch the reruns growing up and I loved it. I know Garry created the original, and his sister Penny was one of the original cast members. But a big screen version of the popular series is seriously a bad idea.

Update: The rumors about Foxx writing the film is untrue.
