CHRISTINA'S NEW ALBUM TO FEATURE LESS VOCAL SHOWBOATING

With so much positive buzz building aroung Christina Aguilera's new single 'Not Myself Tonight' and her album 'Bionic,' her main collaborator Linda Perry (whom P!nk is still pissed about working with her nemesis)opened up about the albums new sound, revealing that Christina will be toning down the vocal gymnastics in order to give fans a different side to her vocally.

[On Bionic], she’s toning it down a lot. Everybody knows that Christina can sing, but I’ve been telling her that she doesn’t have to blow horns off every day. So she’s venturing out of her comfort zone and going more electronic, working with Sia, Lady Tron and MIA as producers.

I think for Christina, not singing full out is probably the most vulnerable, insecure place for her. So to tone it down and not hit the big notes, that’s a really touchy place for her. But I think it’s great that she’s doing it and taking herself there. Maybe she isn’t reinventing the wheel, but you gotta admit, she’s always trying something different. Best of all, she’s doing it for herself.

I've always found singers who have very powerful voices (like Aguilera, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston etc.) to be pretty annoying because they know they have great voices, but like to shove the shit down our throate like they're on some ego trip. it's like bitch we know you can ding. How about giving me some personality to go with those big pipes of yours. That's why I gravitate toward singers who don't have the most amazing voices in the world, but at the end of the day have something interesting to say. Hopefully with Christina experimenting more with the music and willing to take risks with her singing, it will make people like her more instead of the mega bitch reputation that perceives her.
