One of the most recognizable drag superstars on the planet made the interview rounds this week to promote the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race and his new book Workin’ It!: RuPaul’s Guide to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Style. I'm so glad Ru, who I have looked up to ever since I was a wee little queen trying to make his way through this crazy world of ignorance and homophobia. His radio show and even his VH1 show, which I used to sneak and watch when I was a kid inspired me to be the confident gay child I have become today.
