As much as I love me some Ursher, Ne*Yo, Jason DeRulo and Justin Timberlake, sometimes I wonder how come we have a lack of diversity with our pop stars? The lack of Asian pop singers in American music market baffles me. At one point we had Jin who was signed to Ruff Ryder and was about to make a big splash in hip hop. Then shortly after nothing but crickets. Hopefully that will change once you have a listen to Stevie Hoang. He's cute, he's got a great voice and he has that charismatic X Factor that we tend to look for in our pop artists. I just wish record labels would catch up with the rest of the world and figure out how to market their clients in the mainstream media. Hopefully since he'll be touring with boy group JLS, he can break big in the UK which will eventually get him a record release here like Jay Sean who is of Indian descent. Check out his video for 'No Coming Back' below...

Love this article! You are spot on - let's hope Stevie starts the trend for more diversity in the music biz :)
Absolutely. We definitely need more diversity in the music industry. It shouldn't matter what race the person is since America is more diverse and multicultural than ever. I just wish our government as well as corporations that fund mainstream artists would catch up with the rest of the world.
