CHRISETTE MICHELLE WORKING WITH PHARRELL ON HER THIRD CD

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

In order to gain a wider audience, R&B singer Chrisette Michele has tapped Neptunes producer Pharrell Williams to help work on her third studio album.

Recently, the pair recorded a new song titled “Dancing Shoes”, which has been inspired by the funky Minnie Riperton classic “Reasons”.

I actually liked Chrisette’s last album Epiphany, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts last year, but unfortunately, her album failed to yield any major hit singles. So far it has only sold about 385k in total.

I like Chrisette and I hope she can gain a wider audience. If all else fails, hook up with Sade on her next tour alongside India Arie. She's not selling big records either (to be honest, who really is these days besides Susan Boyle and anyone recording a song for Haiti) but anyone touring with Sade automatically gets big sales and fans as if you were anointed by Oprah.
