Solange Knowles is currently in Australia where she’s working on her third studio album.
The 23-year-old is working on new music with Aussie band the Midnight Juggernaughts. it became a match in creative music heaven when they met at a fashion show in Paris. Shortly after they decided to collaborate on some electro-rock track that I'm sure wil lsound awesome once done. I can't stop gushing enough about Solange's last record, 'Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams.'
As reported a few months back, Solange is without a label after being dropped by Interscope last. She plans to (smartly)release her next album independently.
Solange has also found another way to distance her style and musicianship away from the much duller (in personality) Beyonce. She will be spinnin' the 1's and 2's at gay dance club Nevermind this Saturday in Australia. Who knew Solange had DJ skills?
Solange also did some work recently with Janelle Monae on the new Of Montreal album. I'm wondering by working with indie rock bands and elecrto-rock musicians, is this the sound we should expect from S. Knowles? Only time will tell when she releases her forthcoming third CD.
