The more I hear from Kimberly Wyatt, the more I really start to like this chick. She recently opened up in a new interview and talked about the special treatment Nicole Scherzinger receives within the Pussycat Dolls, and confirms that both she and Melody Thornton have been chopped from the group.
“I’ve been a Pussycat Doll far longer. She was one of the last to join, but we’d have to share a dressing room while Nicole would have her own.”
“We’d be on the tour bus together but she wouldn’t come on and would get her own transport. I’m closer with the other girls because of the system that was in place.”
Kim wanted everyone else to know that all the other girls in the group can sing, but were pushed to the back so that
About their voices: “It’s not true at all that only one of us can sing. Everyone in the group has a beautiful voice. We just weren’t showcased as much.”
As I reported last week the 27-year-old recently got a new gig as a judge on the new UK talent show Got to Dance, is in talks with Melody, Jessica Sutta and Ashley Roberts about starting up a project or group on their own - separate from Nicole and whatever Robin has planned for the new batch of Pussycats.
“When it was made aware to me there would be changes in the group I didn’t agree with it. I love the girls so much. That was my family, so I hope to continue the movement. I’m taking my future into my own hands.
“We are looking at ways to keep working together. We all want to. But when we do that we’re not allowed to call ourselves the Pussycat Dolls.”
“Right now there is a lot of controversy. I haven’t spoken to Nicole about it. She’s full speed ahead with her career. I always knew this sort of change was to come so there’s nothing to be bitter about.
“At the end of the day I always knew I was not the captain of the ship.”
Since the girls were never allowed to shine within PCD, I don't think a mass audience will care when they release solo music or form an anti-PDC group. I'm wondering why they didn't say anything when nicole was adding tracks that never made it onto her solo album 'Her Name is Nicole' onto the last PCD record? Does anyone really care about their music and will anyone support a new PCD record with a new line-up? If the music remains hot, I think I will support.
