Dexter's wife may have been killed off in the shocking final minutes of last season's hit Showtime series, but don't cry for former series regular Julie Benz. According to Entertainment Weekly, she has just nabbed a recurring role on the hit ABC series Desperate Housewives. She makes her DH debut in February and will play a stripper with ties to Susan, played by Teri Hatcher. So I guess next week's episode when we saw Susan working the pole in the coming attractions will be the opening for Benz to come in. I've loved Julie ever since she played the tortured vampire Darla on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Glad that she's gotten work so quickly.
