LADY GAGA COLLAPSES DUE TO EXHAUSTION

Rolling Stone is reporting "Due to exhaustion and dehydration, Lady Gaga collapsed and passed out before her show tonight in West Lafayette, Indiana. Her physician has advised her to take a few days off to rest."

Lady Gaga, who has become one of the hardest working pop stars in the industry, responded to the matter on Twitter:

"I’ve been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down tonight. An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing. Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular — a result of exhaustion and dehydration."

"Can’t apologize enough for how sorry I am. I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go onstage. My stage has complicated mechanical elements, everyone was concerned I’d be in danger during the 2-hour show, since I had passed out earlier."

"I am so devastated. I have performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat: I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort. I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me. I will make-up the performance on Jan 26."

I think since you explained the matter, your fans will understand. I understand going to great lengths to please those who have supported you, but if you're not able to listen to your body when it quits on you, you might not be here in the future to put on more extravagant shows and put out more music. So as long as you get your mind and body right, and you reschedule, your fans will understand. I do think you need to take it easy. I know you've just added a second leg to your tour which is supposed to end on May 19, you are gearing up to work on a second album, a Grammy performance, a deal with Poloroid and a clothing line...mama needs to be easy or else not only will she overload herself (which she has), but the backlash for overexposure might not be far behind.
