FANTASIA GETS HER ACT TOGETHER AND FOCUSES ON THE MUSIC

After missing 50 shows of The Color Purple, a D.O.A. second album, and personal family drama, American Idol winner Fantasia has gotten her shit together and like a phoenix rising from the ashes is ready to make her mark on the industry again with a brand new album due in March.

“This year… [2010] is my year. It’s been three years too long. Music is my everything, so I have put my heart, my soul, and all of my time into this album. I’m just ready to go on tour.”

Tasia's getting a bit more personal with her new album, revealing the song “Overload” is about the immense pressure that she’s been under.

“I remember going into the studio that night after I was getting so many phone calls. Mom was calling me about different people showing up. Sheriffs, lawsuits, and they said this, and they said that. My family needed this — I went in and I did ‘Overload.’”

I'm really glad that Fantasia's focusing on the music again and she's found a bit of balance with the music life and the personal. I just witsh her freeloading family would get off their ass and do for themselves instead of always looking for a hand out. If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check out Fantasia For Real every Monday night at 10 pm on VH1.
