While female MC's have been taking a back seat while more alternative FemC's have been making a splash on the charts (M.I.A., Santigold, Peaches, Amanda Blank, etc.) don't count rapper Eve out just yet. While keeping busy with the relaunch of her Fetish clothing line and two guest spots on the hit TV show Glee, Eve hasn't let her love for music pass her by. After parting ways with Interscope/Geffen/A&M Records where she released her first three albums, she is currently working on new music just in time to release a brand new solo album later this year. After her last record never saw the light of day, she has announced that her new album is titled "Lip Lock" and will feature "Tambourine" and "Give It to You" as bonus tracks. No specific date has been given but as I stated earlier, it will get a proper release this year! 'Tambourine was my jam and I loved the colorful video. It was just unfortunate it never saw the light of day. I miss having some new music from female rappers and I think now that music is going into a lighter direction, this may be a more perfect time for FemC's to make a comeback.
