If you believe the Mayans about 2012, then I think it's about time you build your underground bunker and stock up on a 10-year supply of food from Cosco once i break the following news. Within the past few years, soaps have been dropping more than the soiled underwear on Lindsay Lohan after she's taken three rounds of bukkake shots. As The World Turns is the latest soap to get the ax. The long-running soap with breathe it's last breath in September 2010. CBS issued this statement:

As The World Turns, the long-running daytime drama, will complete its final season on the CBS Television Network in September 2010. CBS has decided not to renew the show for the 2010/2011 broadcast season, thereby ending its 54-year run on the Network.
"Throughout our history, As The World Turns has remained dedicated to sharing compelling stories that have entertained fans for more than five decades," said Executive Producer Chris Goutman. "We are disappointed and saddened by the news that the show is not being renewed. It will certainly be a loss for all of us, and for the show's loyal audience."
ABC better watch it's back because it might be next. maybe that's why All My Children is moving to Los Angeles. They want to do more outdoor shoots in Pine Valley? One thing i will miss is the Luke and Noah love story on ATWT. They were the first to bring an honest same-sex relationship to daytime, regardless of the protests from bored housewives and church-going folk. Well at least we still have Fish and Kyle on one Life to Live.
