Since gainging a bigger female (and gay)following and having some moderate success with his third cd (it didn't hurt that he sexed it up on the cover of his latest album either), it's only natural Trey head back in the studio and begin work on his follow-up with some of the hottest producers in the game. Trey has reached out to Pharrell, Timbaland and Brian Michael Cox to work their magic on the folloow-up to 'Ready'.
“I’m trying to make sure I have an album out ASAP,” he said. “I ain’t gonna tell you how soon, though. It’s not gonna be two years. I wanna use the same recipe I’ve been using. If anybody is added, it’ll be for real purpose. I spoke to Pharrell. I told him I’m getting in, Timbaland as well — both huge Virginian-grown producers. I definitely would love to work with them. But Troy Taylor I’ve been working with since the beginning of my career. Plus B-Cox I’ve had a couple hits with. I definitely wanna make sure we use the same chemistry.”
“I look to make more music that’s within the realm of Ready and even grow further.”
I like the face that Trey is striking while the iron is hot. he's talented, sexy, and knows how to sweep you up in those eyes of his (if you've ever happened to catch when he stopped by Wendy Williams a few months back). What I think Tre needs to do (something I was discussing with a friend of mine just last night) is that he needs to focus less on trying to be the next R. Kelly (with him protesting a bit too much about his sex life lately in the press) and worry about giving good music and tightening up his stage presence.
