TRAILER TRASH: THE KARATE KID


Jaden Smith (son of Will & Jada) stars in this reboot of the 80's classic. Jackie Chan takes on the role as Mr. Miyagi and my girl Taraji P. Henson stars as Jaden's mom. As much as I love the original, do we really need a remake? Whatever happened to just showing classic films to the new generation instead of remaking everything? I remember when they were shooting this film, they were supposed to be calling it Kung Fu Kid. They should have went with that title instead of karate Kid, because what he's learning is not karate. I'm sure this version has more action than the original, but I feel a remake to The karate Kid is pointless. I'll still check it out though.
