Is her contract up with Louis Vuitton already? Longtime Madonna photographer Steven Klein had Madonna channel Italian Neorealism cinema for Dolce & Gabbana's 2010 campaign. I could see a bit of Sophia Loren, Anna Magnani, and Guilietta Masina influence in these photographs as well. I can't honestly see Madonna playing hausfrau, but I must say this is the best she's looked in quite some time. I love Madonna best when she shows she can be feminine rather than some butch warrior princess like those photos she took for her Hard Candy album.

Here is what Swide is reporting via Towleroad: "In the Vanity Fair Italy feature, Stefano Gabbana discusses the campaign and why Madonna was the perfect match: 'She loved the collection,' he says, '...she is passionate and impressively knowledgeable about Italian cinema,' (Monica is Vitti her favourite actress and we see the resemblance).' When asked as to whether Madonna knows how to wash dishes, Stefano Gabbana replies 'Certainly...she's a very practical woman...' And does she actually eat spaghetti despite her most enviable figure? 'Of course, says Stefano, and she can allow herself to with all the exercise she does!'"

Here are two pics of Madonna with her daughter Lourdes, who looks stunning at the premiere of "Nine." Madonna looks youthful as well (face is tighter than a newborn's snatch), but why am i getting the feeling the hair and dress has been worn before. I'm thinking back to her photoshoot for Versace she did back in 1995. The only difference the dress was cream-colored.
