I am so upset I missed him last night. According to Towleroad.com, Adam Lambert showed up at Splash bar's annual Monday show tunes night. He is currently in town to tape his appearance on The View tomorrow which will air on Thursday.
A poster to the forums at Broadway World gushes: "What I thought was just going to be a regular night at Musical Mondays at SPLASH Bar turned-out to be pretty exciting. Around 9:30pm, none-other-than Adam Lambert himself comes strolling in! With about 3 friends, he moved to the back of the bar into a booth. And... a million cell phones immediately whipped out texting friends and updating their Twitter/Facebook statuses. I got the balls to walk over and say hi (thanks to a great friend who pulled me into the booth). He is much skinnier than I thought he would be. Glam black make-up. Black crow hair coiffed to high-heaven. Black fingertip-less gloves, black shirt and pants, long dangly chain around his neck.... (Love child of Liza and Joanne Worley?!) BUT SOOOO SWEET IN PERSON! I introduced myself and friend as members of the NYC Gay Mens Chorus (we were flyering the tables). Told him I was there when he got accepted at his San Francisco audition (laughed that he went skipping down the street). Then asked him why he was in-town. He is taping THE VIEW tomorrow but was sad that Whoopi wasnt going to be there. I told him to slap Elizabeth for us. He joked that he was going to be really condescending and call her Lizzie during the interview. Soooo sweet and surprisingly receptive to fans saying hello. He left around 10:15pm, hugging/kissing fans on the way out."

And according to Michael Musto, Glambert and friends were making the rounds all over NYC: "'He was getting crazy attention,' reports my friend, who observed and overheard Adam and his group and decided they seemed to be going on to the cruise bar Barracuda!" Since Shequida is back at Barracuda, I'm sure she's got stories to tell, and I'm sure plenty of photos were snapped for the next issue of NEXT.

I along with Bayley will support Adam no matter what because I feel he is a true artist. I just wish people would let this kid be his true artist self and not worry about satisfying everyone. We shouls leave that up to Barack Obama.
This doesn't surprise me. I've known many people who've been around him, especially in Wicked and have kept in touch since the fame and they all say he was a sweetheart to begin with and is even more humble now after the fame. He's literally been EVERYONE'S punching bag...conservatives had a witch hunt when they realized he could win idol, some gays are jealous he's the first to go mainstream and not them, other hetros are watching his career like a hawk trying to find something in his interviews and performances to have his career crashing down, other gays say he's not gay enough and proud enough for us. I'm going to support this kids career no matter WHAT. He's representing us, whether you want it or not, and doing more to attain exposure for us than the disorganized No on 8 campaign. He sends his message via his music and that's why I support it and him.
P.S. Also while Adam was probably on the plane heading to NYC for his VIEW stint, the ladies talked about his Thursday appearance during Hot Topics. So while ABC has slowly lifted the veil, I still smell a bit of homophobia underneath. Oh, and Sherri. You wish you were cute enough to have someone ground your face in their crotch. That may be the reason why your husband cheated on your ass and sloppily knocked up the mistress. Check out the ladies discuss Glambert below...
