SOLANGE LEAVES RECORD LABEL

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Even though Solange's last album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams was awesome (in my opinion better than sis Beyonce's I Am...Sasha Fierce cd), apparently it wasn't enough for her to stay at a major label. So for Solange's third cd, she has opted to go independent.

Solange announced the news on her Twitter: "Although it’s been a wonderful journey & experience at Interscope Records, after truly recognizing what’s important to ME as an artist, I decided it was time for me to continue my path on a more independent platform. I’m excited about continuing to dive in, experiment and creating music and art with no boundaries, fears or expectations. Gonna be fun folks.”

i actually think going independent isn't a bad idea. She has already built her fan base (she's even bigger overseas), so if she wants to have more creative control, going indie is her best bt. besides, with Papa Knowles in her corner, it shouldn't be hard for her to get a bit of publicity. oh wait, we didn't hear from him when she was on a major, so why would he help her now? Good luck on creating more creative music, S. You definitely got a fan in Kris Avalon.
