CANDY 1 from Luis Venegas on Vimeo.
In one of my favorite movies Midnight inthe Garden of Good and Evil, Lady Chblis often talked about hiding her candy. Well she won't have to anymore! Luis Venegas, the Madrid-based editor of fashion and art publications including Fanzine 137, has launched a magazine called Candy.
Venegas says Candy is the first "Transversal Style" magazine: "the first fashion magazine ever completely dedicated to celebrating transvestism, transexuality, cross dressing and androgyny, in all its manifestations."
I'm actually looking forward to checking out this magazine. I really love when people blur the lines between masculinity and femininity, something we tend to get too caught up in. we have to behave a certain way so no one will call us names or worse. What people seem to forget is that we have both running in our veins. If it takes a man and a woman to make one (or a litter) of us, obviously we have male and female blood and fluids in our bodies. Really looking forward to seeing how they take this to the next level in fashion. I actually would have thought for their debut they would have at least had Amanda Lepore or Candis Cayne on the cover. Also check out a photo of cover model and promo star Luke Worrall looks like out of drag below. I may need my minions to fan out, but isn't Luke Worrall dating (or was dating) Kelly Osbourne at one point?
