DREW BARRYMORE WANTS TO BRING CHARLIE'S ANGELS TO THE SMALL SCREEN

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

As you all are aware, ther have been two films based on the hit Aaron Spelling series releases starring Drew Barrymore, Lucy liu and Cameron Diaz. the first one captured the campiness of the series, as well as brought in some Matrix-style action sequences. the sequel, on the other hand was a hot orange alert mess and Demi Moore was outacted by her own stiff botoxed face. After Full throttle flopped, I actually thought this might be the end of the once-profitable franchise. Well according to Variety (via Coming Soon), Drew is in talks with ABC to produce a pilot for a modern version of Charlie's Angels. If they are planning to make this work, they need to find a balance between the campy and the action. no over-the-top action pieces. I can't see it at the moment, but do you guys think a Charlies Angels reboot would work as a serious action series, in the realms of say, Alias? Whichever way you guys plan to revamp the series, I ask that you hire Lindsay Price. She's an underrated actress who seems to get a bad rap, since many shows she stars on barely get a second season. First Lipstick Jungle, and now Eastwick.
