I am so glad I didn't buy her latest CD. After two mediocre singles, the tired but catchy "Obsessed" and the unnecessary "I want To Know What Love Is," mariah has decided to go back to the lab and add some additional tracks for a re-release.
Mimi sat down with MTV News, and addressed the case of the album's missing songs. Mariah had worked with heavyweight producers Timbaland and Jermaine Dupri on a number of tracks, none of which made it onto Memoirs. The songstress assured fans, however, that they'll soon get a chance to give everything a listen.
"They're not on the album, but we have a special something planned that [record exec] L.A. Reid would be very angry with me if I discussed right now on MTV," she teased. "But for the fans, there will be more than one Timbaland track and at least one J.D. track.
Basically, she and her handlers realized her fans were disappointed with her boring ass CD and to recoup what she's lost, she's going to add some much-needed bangers to "Memoirs" tracklisting. I said it before, and I'll say it again; in this Beyonce/Rihanna world, nobody wants to listen to a diva sing a bunch of four-to-the-floor ballads or mid-tempo tracks. you gotta bring the songs that will have the children dipping it low in the clubs and snapping their necks, as well as the softer tracks. it's all about balance.
