I know I'm a few days late with this one, but I finally got around to watching it on my TiVo. After being the first LGBT crew to grace the stage openly and proudly on popular MTV competition series, America's Best Dance Crew, one of my favorite crews Vogue Evolution were sent packing after a lackluster Bollywood performance last week. If you remember, last week's episode featured a little controversy where ABDC judge (and fellow tranny) Lil Mama basically brought transgender member Leiomy Maldonado's original boy realness into her critique of the crew's performance saying, "You were born a man and you are becoming a woman. If you’re going to become a woman, act like a lady." Lil Mama apologized days later after GLAAD received a barrage of e-mails from the trans community criticizing her remarks.
Once Leiomy's diva antics came to light, and Lil Mama made her comment, it was apparent that may have turned of America and persuaded them not to vote for VE. In the new episode, it probably didn't help that cameras captured Leiomy telling Lil Mama to "kiss her ass" after the judge's negative remark. Ypu could also cut the tension with a knife after their recent Halle Berry performance (for those who didn't watch, they had to incorporate popular dance moves into their choreo as well as a trampoline) when it came time for the judges to critique their performance. You barely heard a peep out of Lil Mama. Now can someone pleeeeeese get rid of Afroborike? Yea they look hot and they do amazing gymnastics, but their choreo sucks mayjah ass!
