One of my favorite martial arts actors Ernie Reyes Jr.(Surf Ninjas, The Rundown) plays a mixed martial arts fighter who tries to gain the respect not only in the ring, but in life as well. The film also stars Maria Conchita Alonso, George Takei, and John Savage. I've been a fan of Ernie's ever since he was a kid in The Last Dragon and Red Sonja. He hasn't been in many movies (last I saw him was in The Rundown), but I am definitely glad to see him making movies again. Ernie is up there with fellow actioners such as Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan, so I would like to see him carry an action film on his own like Jason Statham gets to do. The movie opens on friday.
