TRAILER TRASH: A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

The trailer is finally here! Check out the trailer of A nightmare on Elm Street, a re-imagining of the classic 1984 horror film starring Robert Englund. The new film stars jackie Earl hayley (Watchmen) as the iconic Freddy krueger, the bastard son of 100 maniacs who gets his jollies by killing the teens of Elm Street in their dreams. Just like I enjoyed the re-imagining of Friday the 13th, Platinum Dunes, the same company who breathed life into the F:13 franchise are behind Elm Street.

here is a synopsis: Freddy Krueger returns in A Nightmare on Elm Street, a contemporary re-imagining of the horror classic. A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another... but when they sleep, there is no escape. I like the darker grittier direction they are going with the reboot. the first film wasn't all comedy, like the latter sequels took which in my opinion made the series silly rather than scary.

Starring alongside Jackie Earle Haley is Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner, Thomas Dekker and Katie Cassidy. New Line opens the film on April 30 2010.
