Finally, Kid Cudi's space-aged hip hop gem Man on the Moon: The End of Day is in stores, and the entire CD lives up to the hype. If you liked Kanye's (and Cudi mentor) 808's and Heartbreak, you'll love this CD. The only difference is, Kid Cudi feels right at home mixing his hip hop lyrics with space-aged electro, where Kanye's attempt felt a bit lost in translation and uneven at best. Cudi's introspective persona and eclectic taste in music might be a bit to-the-left for hip hop purists, and may never become a mainstream success, but he definitely has made his stamp on taking hip hop into a creative, intillectual future. Something the Black Eyed Peas tried and failed to do with their medicre, watered down dance beats on The E.N.D. Check out my favorite tracks...
