I just had to give some love to 20-year-old actor Allen Hyde, who played vampire Godric on True Blood. Godric was the vampire Sheriff of Louisiana and claimed to be older than Jesus. He also wanted vamps and humans to co-exist. During a recent interview he talked about why he felt Allen Ball cast him as the 2,000 year-old maker of the very sexy Eric (Alexander Saarsgard.
“Probably one of the reasons [True Blood creator Allan Ball] chose me [to play Godric] was this accent,” Hyde has said of his Danish-British (and slight American) tongue. “It was the thing [Ball] liked about it. You can’t track [Godric] back to one place.”
Loved this sexy piece of man/boy candy for the two and a half episode stint he did.
Unfortunately his character was killed off when he went up on the roof with out applying on some SPF 5000.
