A writer plans to sue “Twilight” hack author Stephenie Meyer, accusing her of plagiarism by lifting passages from an obscure book she wrote called “The Nocturne” and using them in vampire romance "Breaking Dawn," an attorney said on Tuesday.
J. Craig Williams, who represents "“The Nocturne” author Jordan Scott, told Reuters by phone that the passages in question involve few word-for-word similarities but that the two books have similar plot and character points.
Meyer's publisher, Hachette Book Group, called the accusation meritless, saying “The Twilight Saga” is entirely Meyer's creation and that she knew nothing of “The Nocturne.”

First of all, I wouldn't have admitted that Stephanie Meyer lifted anything from my books (if this is true), because I feel that the entire Twilight series is what's wrong with vampire books and films. Everyone knows that the whole point of vampires is that they are sexual, dangerous and expose a sido of us that we wish actually exist. The need for immortality. That entire series reeks of desexualized, christian right bullshit, being that Meyer is a mormon. Vampires should not be sanitized. Sex and violence goes hand and hand when it comes to the genre, so to remove it defeats the purpose of why they exist. Who the hell is to believe that a vampire as sexual and dangerous as Edward would wait around and yearn for the awkward, annoying ass Bella? Oh I forget women who have no respect for the lore of vampirism. Give me Sookie Stackhouse and the unapologetic vampires of Bon Temps anyday!
