Remember back on the original Melrose Place when we had Matt Fielding (played by Desperate Housewives actor Doug Savant), the resident gay who never had a boyfriend and when he did get one (usually during February and May sweeps), all they did was hug instead of doing what real intimate folks do? Well all that's about to change! Word on the street is that actor Victor Webster will play Caleb Brewer, a cigar-smoking, basketball-watching, memorabilia-collecting, Scotch-drinking gay man on the remake of Melrose Place, according to AfterElton.
I'm really glad to see Victor Webster working again, since I hadn't seen him in anything since he played Cupid on Charmed. I always thought he was phoine, but couldn't they hire an openly gay actor to play the role? I would say T.R. Knight is available, but then I remembered he'll be doing Broadway in the fall. Well in that case, I'm sure Robert Gant is available, now that Queer as Folk has been off the air for a couple of years now. Oh well, as long as we get man on man action on the show, I'm soooooo there!
If none of you ever watched an episode of Charmed (what gay person didn't?), Days of Our Lives, Or that infamous YouTube video of him floating around of him on the set of Mutant X in a pair of undies with an erection, then maybe you'd remember Webster as Samantha Jones's new neighbor on one memorable episode of Sex and the City.
