SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE FAVORITES WEEK 1

My favorite dance show officially kicked off after a short two weeks of extensive auditions. Maybe Idol needs to take a page or two from SYTYCD and keep the cheesiness and ridiculous plugs to a minimum. Even their results show is entertaining. Anyways, there were a lot of amazing performances, so I decided to post my favorites of the past week. PS: I loooooooooove Mary Murphy who I think is crazier (in a funny way) than Paula Abdul

Phillip & Jeanine - Hip Hop (choreographed by Napoleon and Tabitha)



Kupono and Ashley - Jazz (Choreographed by Wade Robson) I am a huge fan of Goldfrapp and I love Wade's choreography. Kupono, who is cute but a little weird (just how I like my men) is one of my favorite dancers so far. Makes me wonder why Britney didn't keep Wade on board as choreographer for her current tour?



Jason and Caitlin - Bollywood (Choreographed by Nakul)

Joshua and Katee turned it with SYTYCD's first ever Bollywood routine. Jason and Caitlin were just as good, but loved the Bollywood choreography of the previous season. Really proud of SYTYCD for including so many different styles of dance into their program. Really helps the show stand out as one of the best dance competition shows on television right now. I also remember Jason trying out last season, but not making the cut. He also wasn't shown much during the audition process, so I'm glad to see the talented cutie finally among the top 20 cintestants this season as well as showing that he's a force to be reckoned with.



Max and Kayla - Samba (choreographed by Louis van Amstel)

Max was really lucky to get the Samba (since that is his field of expertise), but Kayla was amazing, taking on a dance she'd never done before and made it look effortless. Really looking forward to seeing this dancer make it all the way to the end. As for Max, if he doesn't survive for long, I can see him alongside Maxsim and the rest of those ballroom hotties on Dancing with the Stars.
