Everyone loves to hate Simon Cowell (because he speaks the truth), now here's one more reason to add to that running list.
He made $36 million last year as judge of American Idol and when his contract expires next May, Fox is willing to pay up to $144 million to keep him on the top-rated show. And since American idol is their cash cow you know they'll be willing to pay him anything to keep him on the show. I just love how these network folks are cutting scripted shows and hollering recession, but they can come up with this huge amount of money to keep him on the show. Simon already has ten many things on his plate, and I'm sorry I really feel the pagentry cheesefest that is AI needs to be put out to pasture.
