BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN JOINS SMALLVILLE

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

After wisely backing out of One Tree Hill, Brian Austin Green (who was actually quite good on the terrible series, Sarah Connor Chronicles) has signed on for a few episodes of Smallville next season.

According to TV Guide, the "Beverly Hills 90210" veteran will play the DC Comics villain Metallo.

Green will appear as the kryptonite-powered villain (alter ego "Daily Planet" journo John Corben) in at least the first two episodes of Season 9, which premieres Friday, Sept. 25.

As much as I've been impressed with Brian's acting beyond playing David Silver (I'm glad he refused to be apart of the new 90210 series), I think he can do so much better than Smallville. That show hasn't been good in the last few seasons, and I could have sworn season 8 was supposed to be the last one. I think he would have fared better on Supernatural, which is the best show on the CW right now.
