After more than a year of speculation, word on the street is that Nas and Kelis are officially getting a divorce.
The details were reported by Vibe.com, who obtained a copy of the divorce papers which show Kelis seeking a dissolution of the five-year marriage citing "irreconciable differences."
“I can confirm that she has filed for divorce. We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time," a spokesperson for Kelis told Vibe.
The two have been alleged to be cheating on one another from day one. While Nas was jumping off with the random chick, Kelis was doing her thing, too, cheating on Nas several times. And oh, let's not forget that famous sex tape featuring Kelis (after) getting slayed by rapper Infared.
Kelis is rumored to have gotten pregnant (she's due in June, one week before their wedding anniversary) in the hopes that a child will save their tumultuous marriage, but as I have always said, kids don't save marriages. You hear that Sarah Jessica Parker?
I wonder what Nas is gonna do with that damn tattoo of a nude Kelis on his forearm?
