The former bodygaurd for T.I. has been sentenced to one year and a day in federal prison for his role in last year’s machine gun slash silencer scandal that is also sending TIP to jail. Corey Williams entered a plea deal for his role in purchasing the illegal firearms for T.I. With a previously clean record, Williams was allowed to purchase weapons for T.I., who was barred from buying them due to his pervious criminal convictions. After being arrested for trying to buy the weapons, he agreed to wear a wire during his face-to-face meetings with TIP which lead to T.I.’s arrest on felony weapons charges.
