Lauryn Hill is emerging from a long hibernation to perform a 10-date European tour this July. According to reports, Hill will headline the 5-day Stockholm Jazz festival in Sweden which is expected to bring in close to 30,000 fans. Lauryn Hill is also listed as one of the 1,000 artists (including the Black Eyed Peas, Herbie Handcock and BB King) that are included in this years Montreux Jazz Fest in Switzerland on July 11th at the Stravinsky Auditorium. Hill hasn’t performed since her jam packed show in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn back in August of 2007 although it drew criticism from the crowd after she showed up hours late and forgot song lyrics. I'm really hoping Lauryn can get it together and put on a great show this July. She was always an amazing talent, who got caught in the matrix of popping out a litter of babies, just so she could stake claim on the Marley name (isn't he married to another woman?) If you have to spike her cammomile tea with some Viodin, like Papa Spears does to Britney's cheese grits, then so be it.
