Following in the footsteps of Diddy and Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna have all secured deals to release their own fragrance, and rumors say Beyonce is next. The new deal made late Tuesday (April 7th), will allow the three stars will release their scents through Iconic Fragrances, LLC and even included a “well-established female artist” (aka Beyonce). “[We] believe this proactive investment by Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West is an indication to the market place of the underlying value of Parlux,” said Chief Executive Neil J. Katz. By securing deals, Katz said the company is doing what it can in a challenging economy and is betting that the celebrity appeal with help boost sales. Parlux plans to roll out the Rihanna and Kanye West products by the summer of 2010.
