The Hollywood Reporter says that the SyFy Channel has cast Ryan Carnes (known for his hot roles in Eating Out, and as Andrew's boyfriend on "Desperate Housewives") as "The Phantom."
Carnes will play the well-known comic book hero, and Isabella Rossellini will guest star as the villainous Lithia, who is overseeing a mind-control experiment.
Additional "Phantom" cast members include Cameron Goodman and Sandrine Holt.
"The Phantom," which began production on Monday, will air next year as a four-hour movie. I'm sure if the miniseries proves successful, SyFy may turn The Phantom into a regular series, like their former gem, Battlestar Galactica...or a flop like Flash Gordon.
