All I have to say is, what the hell took her so long? Following in the esteemed footsteps of Flavor Flav, Danny Bonaduce, and Brooke Hogan, former American Idol winner Fantasia will be getting her own VH1 reality series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And, goodness knows, I cannot wait. Fantasia may come off as too "ghetto" for squeaky-clean American Idol purists (i,e, white folks who worship at the altar of Carrie Underwood), but I thought her last album, especially the single "Hood Boy" was amazing. I love when she get's all chuuch on us when she performs. Gives me goosebumps everytime. Fantasia's unpredictable, and I like that about her. As I have always said, Underdogs always make for great television, and Fantasia deserves to make a comeback. Maybe the reality show will help people understand the woman behind the crazy antics, which may get folks once afraid of her wackiness to buy her music. You see it took teagedy in Jennifer Hudson's life to get folks to buy her new cd. So far, VH1 has been on the right track with their celebreality programming, except for crapola like "Daisy of Love," and "Brooke Knows Best."
So VH1, I will definitely be saving space on my DVR for this show, and I am not saying this just because I interned for them.
