Fellow queens, fashion designers and Tim Gunn can exhale now, (and former contestant Kenley can stop throwing her pussy around), because the long-going bitch fight between the Weinstein Company and NBC over Project Runway has finally come to an end.
As you all may remember, this fight all started when Bravo's hit series was suddenly sold over to the granny network known as LIFETIME (home to The Golden Girls and Valerie Bartinelli movies of the week). Bravo got their tits in a twist and sued Lifetime. Lifetime went and sued Bravo back. the current season of Project Runway has been shelved since it wrapped in January. both parties released this official statement:
NBC Universal, The Weinstein Company and Lifetime have resolved their disputes. The Weinstein Company will pay NBCU for the right to move Project Runway to Lifetime. All of the parties are pleased with the outcome. Harvey Weinstein added, "I want to personally congratulate Jeff Zucker and NBCU on their success in the litigation and thank Jeff for resolving this in a professional manner. We look forward to working together on our ongoing projects."
Maybe this was all a bullshit ploy for bravo's bootleg PR ripoff show The Fashion House to premiere out the gate before the in limbo season of PR aired. The Fashion House premieres next month on Bravo and fellow judges include that hot mess bargain basement designer from Target Isaac Mizrahi and Beyonce's wig holder Kelly Rowland. From the sounds of it, the show might flop faster than you can say Kelly Rowland's music career.
