OMG! NATASHA RICHARDSON DIES

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Shortly after suffering a fatal brain injury during a ski accident yesterday in Canada, Natasha Richardson has passed away.

Her death has been reported by Time Out New York, and sources close to Richardson’s family and friends say they have already been told the awful news. Natasha was just 45 years old.

She is survived by her husband, actor Liam Neeson, and two adolescent sons, as well as mother Vanessa Redgrave and sister Joely Richardson.

Just last week I was watching her in The Parent trap with Lindsay Lohan. I had just heard about her being injured a few hours ago, and I'm shocked this has happened. My heart goes out to Liam and Natasha's family. Rest in peace.

Update: literally less than a hour after posting this story, Time Out New York released this official statement:

Time Out New York sincerely apologizes for the confusion. We stand by our sources, and our friend of the family first confirmed "dead" and then called back to say "brain dead." We find the situation incredibly tragic and obviously wish to only report the facts.

Update #2: UPDATE: According to TMZ Natasha isn't brain dead. They said Natasha is currently sedated and her brain is swelling. She's traveling to another hospital for treatment. TMZ has usually been on point with their stories, so until we get another update, I'm betting my chips on TMZ's accuracy.
