With so many remakes and spin off's flooding your television (Kath & Kim, Absolutely Fabulous, Cupid, 90210 to name a few), you'd think the networks would actually take some time to develop an original concept, right? Well that would be too easy.
Word on the street is that after 15 years, ER is saying good-bye on April 2nd. That's not the news since we all know ER has been cancelled. Word is ER heartthrob John Stamos will be heading over to star in their upcoming spin-off of the long-running series.
According to reports, the new show is going to completely revolve around John's character Dr. Tony Gates.
"This spin-off is the network’s secret weapon, and they’re hoping it will draw a new generation of viewers. Everything’s under tight wraps. The script is still untitled and is being worked on as The John Stamos Project."
I love medical shows, and I have been a long-time watcher of E.R. As long as we get some interesting characters, and the writing is good, I will definitely check this show out.
