According to New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, High School Musical star Vanessa Anne Hudgens starring as a female werewolf in the Twilight sequel is simply a rumor.
When scribe Melissa Rosenberg was asked if she auditioned for the role of Leah, she answered:
"…if Vanessa is auditioning for the role of Leah, she’s written her own pages to read, ’cause I didn’t write ‘em. "
So basically, Leah is not going to be in the movie version of Twilight!
According to Entertainment Weekly, reports that studio insiders AND people in Hudgens' camp have debunked the casting buzz. So to sum it all up, Vanessa will not be in the Twilight sequel.
