TRUE BLOOD SEASON 1 RECEIVES A DVD RELEASE DATE

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

HBO has unveiled its DVD plans for one of my favorite shows (and the most addictive) series True Blood. The entire first season, which recently wrapped until season two kicks off next summer, will hit the street on May 12th. Expect a widescreen (16:9) transfer with Dolby Surround Stereo sound. All twelve episodes will be collected on five discs. Currently, HBO's shop has it listed with a price tag of $59.99.

Starring Anna Paquin, the series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid living in Louisiana who can read people's minds, and how her life is turned upside down when the vampire Bill (Stephen Moyer) walks into her place of employment two years after vampires "came out of the coffin" on national television. If you haven't seen this show, I suggest you catch it On Demand or wait for the season 1 DVD to come out. I can't recommend this show enough to people.
