BEYONCE, KEYSHIA COLE, SOULJA BOY CD CHART NEWS

This week on the charts: Beyonce’s I Am…Sasha Fierce scanned 76,900 discs this week at the number 2 spot, pushing its total to 1,535,700. Kanye West holds fort at No. 3. 808’s & Heartbreak moved 70,900 CDs this week. So far, the album has sold a total of 1,094,800 copies. Seated at No. 7 is Keyshia Cole who scores a gold plaque this week. A Different Me passed the 500,000 sales mark by pushing 53,600 discs this week. The album’s tally stands at 502,200. Jamie Foxx stays put at No. 8. Intuition bagged up 44,600 units in its 3rd week on the chart. So far, the album has sold a total of 414,500 copies. Akon rises up to the No. 12. Freedom shelved off 36,600 discs this week. So far, the set has sold 350,200 copies. Still selling records this week at number 22 is Rihanna’s Good Girl Gone Bad bagged up 24,700 units in its 83rd week on the chart. So far, the album has sold 2,258,200 copies. Damn that's it? I thought with all the singles they dropped off the cd (eight to be exact), and the hype machine surrounding Princess RiRi, her sales would have been in the 5 million mark. T.I comes in at number 13 this week by pushing 32,100 units. After 15 weeks on the charts, Paper Trail has sold a total of 1,554,200 copies. Ludacris stays put at No. 14. Theatre Of The Mind shelved off 31,200 discs this week, pushing the album’s total sales to 470,400 copies. Right behind Luda at No. 20 is Lil Wayne. Tha Carter III is slowly approaching triple platinum status as it by shifts 25,900 units this week. So far, the album has a total of 2,900,400 copies. Posted at No. 21 is Florida rapper Plies. Da Realist bags up 24,700 units this week. After 3 weeks on the chart, the album has sold 192,100 copies. Common rises one spot up to No. 35. Universal Mind Control cashed out 17,300 copies in its fifth week on the charts. The album’s tally stands at 166,400. Young Jeezy holds it down at No. 59. The Recession scanned 12,500 discs this week, bringing the album’s total sales to 719,200. Soulja Boy slips to the No. 72. ISouljaBoyTellEm reels in 12,100 units in its third week o n the charts. To date, the album has sold a total of 92,000 copies.
