fter her last cd, "Good Girl Gone Bad" sold over three million copies and dropped eight top ten hits, you'd think Rihanna would slow down, right? Well in the Beyonce world, if you want to continue to make a huge impact musically, you gotta continue to bring your A game. So after the Konvict produced, Rihanna f. Akon track "Emergency Room" leaked on the internet last week, it has come to my attention that the "Good Girl Gone Bad" singer has been working non stop on a brand new cd to be released as early as March or April (in between touring and canoodling with boyfriend Chris Brown). Here's some details on the upcoming cd (I'm going to state these leaks as strictly rumor, since the unitled album isn't even finished yet, and the tracklistings are always subject to change).
From what I hear, there will be quite a few collaborators on the new cd. There is a song called Lovesick" which is rumored to feature Fergie and Mariah Carey. I don't know how I feel about that collabo since RiRi's not the best singer and she'll be going up against Fuggie Fug (who sings like a cat being strangled) and Mariah Carey (who hasn't shown off her five octave vocal range since Dreamlover). The whispery coos she tries to pass off as singing must stop immediately! There's another duet with boyfriend Chris Brown said to be called "Criminal." Hopefully not a smooth one, and I hope her name won't be Annie. But the one collabo that got me shaking my head in disgust was the possible collaborations with boring fat ass Jordin Sparks and the ever-so-slutty mess Miley Cyrus (song titles said to be called "Together" and "Fade," respectfully). I tell you those Disney chicks seriously needs some damn Jesus with all the scandalousity coming out of that camp.
While they're at it, why don't they throw in a Madonna collaboration for ol' times sake? She's said to be a fan, and she did ask Rihanna to perform at her Raising Malawi fundraiser a while back. Just be warned: The minute you bask in the presence of her roided up monster snatch, your mojo will be sucked away in her Velociraptor abyss for all eternity! Just ask Britney and Guy.
As for the rumored first single, the "It's Not Right (But It's Okay)" -esque first single "Emergency Room" hitting the internet (the single is slated to hit radio next month), other leaked tracks touted as potential first singles include the sassy "Bitch, I'm Special!" and the Prince-sampled song "Sexuality" (something like a funky fusion of two of his tracks, ""Controversy," and "Sexuality.")
The cd currently has no title, but rumors state that she's thinking of going the J.Lo route with "RiRi" and "Dark Angels." Don't know how I feel about those titles, but I'm sure after the success of "Good Girl Gone Bad," RiRi will most definitely not disappoint.
