In case anyone gives a shit (or is still even watching this show), news quickly spread like a wildfire in L.A.that T.R. Knight is leaving Grey's Anatomy. CrazyDaysAndNights.net reported that the actor walked off the set and quit the ABC drama.
Inside sources revealed, "He hasn't attended table reads since episode 2. He is pissed and miserable and thinks his story line is stupid."
As a result, Knight has reportedly bid his hair and make-up people adieu. Of course, a rep for the show denied to Us Weekly that the incident took place. "He attended the table read today and will be shooting this week, like any other week of production."
He thinks his storyline is stupid? Let's talk about Izzie having sex with the spirit of Denny (What the fuck do the writers think this is Grey's Anatomy Whisperer?) Or the way they handled Callie's gayelle relationship on the show? Whatever. This can be filed with the rest of the bullshit behind-the-scenes drama on the show. A show I haven't watched since meredith died for 45 minutes after being trapped underwater for two episodes. I'm starting to think Grey's has run it's course and should be cancelled altogether.
Update: Entertainment Weekly magazine has reported news of Knight's request to be let go at Grey's Anatomy. He reportedly has three years left on his contract with the show. Writer Michael Ausiello quoted a person at ABC who was not identified as saying that the show and "Grey's" creator Shonda Rhimes are prepared to let the 35-year-old actor go.
Well unlike highes paid actress Katherine Heigl, I hope T.R. has something to fall back on if his career doesn't rebound from this. He's a theater actor, so I'm sure he'll go back to that.
