Venezuelan "president" and homophobic asshole Hugo Chavez canceled the last stop on Cyndi Lauper's Bring Ya To The Brink World Tour in Caracas this past Saturday because he personally disagrees with Lauper's position on Prezident-elect Barack Obama and her love for the gays.
Since the Venezuelan press is controlled by the government, official information is not available as of now. I'm sure it won't be long before Miss Lauper will blog about the cancellation on her official site or on her MySpace page soon!
All I have to say is I'm glad I don't live in Venezuela. Sucks for her fans there though.
P.S. If you guys haven't purchased her latest cd, "Bring You To Tha Brink," go out and cop it. The cd is amazing and will have you dancing all night. Great cd to listen to if you're heading out to the club.
