STAN LEE & SHOWTIME DEVELOPING GAY SUPERHERO

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Now this is something I would love to get behind, as in auditioning for a role or at least helping out with the script. Showtime is developing an hourlong project from comic book icon Stan Lee that tracks the life of a gay superhero, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The project is being executive produced by Lee and the president and CEO of his Pow! Entertainment banner, Gill Champion.

The story, which focuses on an up-and-coming superhero who struggles to hide his secret identities, is based on the book "Hero" by Perry Moore.

Moore is writing the script and also executive producing along with Hunter Hill.

Finally a character gays can look up to besides Catwoman and Wonder Woman. It's also perfect that it's going to Showtime. A show like this would never survive on the major networks. I'll definitely keep you guys posted as this project develops.
